Dev Kumar is Synthetica's lead engineer: navy hoodie, headphones, laptop, no further questions. He answers social situations like bug reports – tersely, literally, and with a reproducibility section nobody asked for. He is quietly right about every technical decision the company has ever made, most of which were made over his objection.
While Chad announces things, Dev fixes them. The gap between the announcement and what the codebase can actually do is where Dev lives, silently, at 2 a.m.
